Identifying adventurous spirit as the core of their brand personality, we imagined, designed and built an Adventure Series--a new kind of wine experience, built around educational excursions in nature, that connect the local ecosystem to the farming, making and enjoying of wine.
Over 2020-21, we developed, prototyped and produced 20 adventures, from oyster farming and sailing to hiking a volcano and flying to a vineyard at elevation in a seaplane. In creating this opportunity for fans of the outdoors to learn about wine and its connection to the environment, and then enjoy it in that setting, we established a new approach to wine tasting and discovery--one that has since garnered 709, 665, 073 media impressions, and counting. Most importantly, we helped the brand attract and build relationships with folks they have natural affinity with, and who are likely to be loyal customers for many years to come.

Obsidian Wine Company sought a new way to find and engage with wine lovers who share their values of community, sustainability, and adventuring. With national distribution and a well-placed Sonoma tasting room, meeting people and selling wine was no problem. The challenge was to find people with whom they shared a worldview and might develop a relationship of some longevity.
